Another day

Today at work we found out that each department budget projection was denied. All department heads were asked to review their proposals and see where they can make some changes/cuts. Our Dept is under staffed as it is. This is a good thing because a lay off is just not feasible. But overtime has been cut for the time being. My opinion? Hire additional staff or at least part time support. The additional salary would be far less than paying full time staff overtime. I think doing this, along with reducing the amount of fed ex mail going out would put a significant dent in the budget and would make our department more financially sound. But this is only one persons opinion. And one of which does not matter in the grand scheme of things. Corporate America, whether in a large, small or community based organization, always operates the same. The top of the food chain always looks out for themselves while the bottom feeders work their fingers to the bone with little or zero appreciation. It's disgusting really.
