Iroquois

The Discovery channel has a program about the Iroquoi indian tribe. It is very interesting. They lived in New York. Upstate New York to be exact. They had many customs that would never be accepted in todays society. You have to wonder how so many historical ideas have been passed down from one generation to the next. Every society has folklore. Many of our beliefs are based on what we have been taught. Who is to say if any of it is true. What we've been lead to believe may be fiction rather than fact
